Résumé
This is the story of Jimmy Smith, and all the trouble he gets into and out of on a summer weekend.
Quelques commentaires
Originally the score was by Otto Harbach and Vincent Youmans. Anna Wheaton (pre-Broadway Lucille) wanted a different song. So Harbach asked Irving Caesar to help out. They wrote "You Can Dance With Any Girl at All" with Caesar. The company loved it so much that Caesar was asked to write more. / The source play, His Lady Friends, was based on the novel Oh, James, although it never appears in credits. / Much of the score and some character names were recycled for the 1950 film Tea for Two starring Doris Day and Gordon MacRae. It used songs and characters but the plot was entirely different. Because of this, the film is not included on this site.
